Character: colorless transparent liquid; be hygroscopic and miscible with water in any ratio, and also miscible with alcohol, ether, acetone, aromatic hydrocarbons and other solvents.
Application
N-methyl pyrrolidone is a heterocyclic compound, which has a series of excellent physical and chemical properties. It is a stable, recyclable, safe efficient selective solvent with low toxicity, high boiling point, strong polarity, low viscosity, low corrosion, strong dissolution and low volatility, stability, and is applicable to a variety of formulations.
1. Micro-electronic grade: It is applicable to LCD, semiconductor, circuit boards, carbon nanotubes and other high-end microelectronic industry.
2. Electronic grade: It is applicable to lithium batteries, aramid fiber, PPS, ultrafiltration film and other industries.
3. Pharmaceutical grade: It is applicable to medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary solvents, intermediates and other industries.
4. Industrial grade: It is applicable to the acetylene concentration, butadiene extraction, electrical insulating materials, high-grade paints, pesticide adjuvants, inks, paints, industrial cleaning agent and other industries.
 

γ-butyrolactone (GBL)

Character: colorless and transparent oily liquid with odor similar to acetone; be miscible with water, acetone, carbon tetrachloride and ethanol, and can be decomposed in hot lye with aromatic odor.
Application
(1)、It can be used to synthesize pyrrolidone products.
(2)、It can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate.
(3)、It can be used as a pesticide intermediate.
(4)、It can be used to synthesize resin as an antioxidant, plasticizer, dispersing agent, fixing agent and solvent.
(5)、It can be used as an electrolyte, capacitor and color film former.
 

α-pyrrolidinone (α-p)
Chemical name: α-pyrrolidone, 2 - pyrrolidone, 4-- butyrolactam

Character: colorless or slightly yellow transparent liquid or crystal with slight ammonia smell; be miscible with water, alcohol, ether, chloroform, benzene, ethyl acetate, carbon disulfide and most organic solvents in any ratio; and be insoluble in petroleum ether.
Application:
α-pyrrolidone is an important chemical raw material and high-polarity organic solvent. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, textile, cosmetic, solvent, electronic cleaning and other industries
1. As an organic synthetic raw material and intermediate, it is mainly used polyvinylpyrrolidone, piracetam, γ-aminobutyric acid, nylon -4, polyamide fibers etc.
2. As a solvent, it is mainly used in synthetic resins, pesticides, plasticizers, coloring agent, floor polishes, polyhydric alcohols, printing inks, coatings, iodine, electronics cleaning etc.
